The Hilton Chicago/Oak Brook Hills Resort & Conference Center is donating its luxury 250-thread linens to Chicago’s Lincoln Park Zoo.
The Hilton Chicago/Oak Brook Hills Resort & Conference Center has dedicated itself to the local Chicago community and the environment, and has implemented multiple programs to help make contributions to these two areas of need. One of those initiatives involves donating their premium bed linens. The resort has donated linens to local homeless shelters, but has recently also begun donating linens to the Lincoln Park Zoo. The zoo is using the linens as supplemental nesting material for western lowland gorillas.
While nesting is the primary use of these linens, they are also being used by toddler gorillas as toys for stimulation.
Similar to the beekeeping initiatives we saw at the W Taipei, the Hilton Chicago/Oak Brook Hills Resort & Conference Center also has a beekeeping project, including a horticulture gallery.
“While we continue to elevate our guest experience at the hotel, we’re committed to operating a sustainable business and supporting the greater good of the whole community.” ” Nathan Karsten, Director of Sales & Marketing, Hilton Chicago/Oak Brook Hills Resort & Conference Center
